As I turn 24, I can't help but reflect on how quickly the year 2023 has passed. It's been a year of incredible growth, personal development, and professional achievements. I've faced challenges, but I've also celebrated countless milestones.
January: Embracing Independence
The year began with a major milestone: I finally moved into my own place. It was a liberating experience, and it allowed me to truly establish my independence. I learned how to navigate household chores, manage my finances, and build a sense of stability in my own space.
February: Finding My Tribe
In February, I had the chance to connect with a group of like-minded individuals in London who shared my passion for art, museums, theater, music, and fashion. It was refreshing to be surrounded by people who understood my interests and encouraged me to pursue my creative endeavors.
March: The Podcast and Therapy
I embarked on two exciting projects in March: launching my Healthy Girl Era Podcast and beginning my fifth round of therapy. The podcast has been an outlet for sharing my stories, experiences, and insights on health, wellness, and personal growth. Therapy has been instrumental in my journey of self-discovery and healing.
April: Family Bonding and Paris Adventures
April brought a visit from my family, who treated me to a whirlwind tour of London. Their presence reminded me of the importance of family and the roots that I hold dear. I also took a trip to Paris to reconnect with friends and classmates, and I was reminded that happiness can be found wherever you choose to live and work.
May: Website Design and Brussels Getaway
In May, I launched my first website design, which opened up a new creative outlet for me. I also celebrated the launch with a weekend getaway to Brussels, soaking up the city's vibrant atmosphere.
June: Family Reunions and Mum's Special Day
June was filled with family gatherings. My mum came to visit me in the UK for her early 50th birthday celebration, and we enjoyed Mamma Mia The Party and the warm summer weather. I also released my first Estonian podcast episode, sharing my journey to the UK, and it was well-received by the listeners. I then returned to Estonia for two weeks to celebrate my brother's incredible exam results and graduation, and my grandma's birthday. It was during this trip that I felt true happiness for the first time in six months.
July: Fashion, Events, and Organizing
July brought a reminder of my love for fashion and events when I attended a catwalk show. It also ignited a passion for organizing, which I discovered while helping my mom pack for her birthday party.
August: ChatGPT Guidance and Italy Adventures
August was a month of big decisions and new experiences. I turned to ChatGPT for guidance on my life path and started taking actionable steps towards my dreams. I also had the opportunity to visit Italy, my favorite country in Europe, and I fell in love with its beauty and culture. On my way back to the UK, I experienced a 38-hour delay, but it turned out to be an unexpected adventure, allowing me to connect with amazing people and make some money.
September: New Beginnings and a Journey of Wellness
September marked a significant change as I handed in my notice at my job due to prolonged unhappiness. I took a well-deserved break in Stockholm, a city that felt like home to me. I also spent quality time with my other family members and little sisters in the UK. Back in London, I started taking action on ChatGPT's step-by-step plan, which included reading more and connecting with a mentor.
October: Fashion Insights and Mastermind Dreams
October brought new opportunities in the fashion industry. I was invited to the Future of Fashion event with Kornit, and I started applying for jobs and master's courses. I also had my first round of interviews.
November: London Adventures and Inspiring Partnerships
November was filled with excitement as I spent a week living in London, conducted more interviews, secured my first #wellnssgirl partnership with Aspire Wellness, and started organizing my first retreat and mastermind for December-January 2023/24. I also recorded more podcast episodes with people on their healing, wellness, and business journeys, and I began working on my freelance business plan.
December: Freelance Success and Celebratory Events
In December, my hard work paid off as I landed my first clients as a freelancer. I also had my first events after a year: yoga with Aspire, a retreat with friends, a mastermind meetup with my online community, and Young Entrepreneurs in
