Remember those idealistic aspirations we all have at 19?
Thriving career, perfect partner, and bustling city life, maybe even in New York? Yeah, same. But here I am, 24 and closer to 25 than I'd like to admit, and that vision feels like a distant dream.
After spending years abroad, I'm back in my childhood home in Estonia, trying to regain my footing and feeling a little lost about the future. Let's face it, the pressure to have everything figured out by 25 is real, but life rarely follows the script we write in our teenage years.
Does that mean I'm a failure? Not.
I have potential, I know it. But my path hasn't been paved with roses. There have been struggles, sacrifices, and detours that tested my resilience. Yet, my determination, work ethic, and global perspective keep me pushing forward. I just haven't found the right tribe to share this journey yet.
Fresh out of grad school, I dreamt of working with creative minds and organizing events. That dream job didn't materialize. Reality check: first jobs often don't. So, I settled. And for a year and a half, I felt utterly miserable.
Leaving those jobs, however, was a turning point. It forced me to reassess what I truly desired:
A supportive team: Colleagues who celebrate each other's wins, mentors who guide and invest in growth, and a shared commitment to continuous learning.
A culture of creativity: Where imagination is valued and encouraged to flourish.
Passionate individuals: People who find joy in their work and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Side hustle champions: Where exploring personal pursuits is not just tolerated, but actively supported.
A purpose beyond profit: A company driven by a mission that extends beyond the bottom line.
I know it might sound like a unicorn, but I've witnessed it firsthand within my friend group.
This is my call to action. If you're building a team that embodies these qualities, with a mission that resonates with my values and a belief in the power of potential, let's connect. I'm not just looking for a job; I'm seeking a journey, a tribe, a place where I can grow alongside like-minded individuals.
Remember, success isn't always a linear path. Taking a step back and reevaluating your direction doesn't make you a failure. Your journey, with all its twists and turns, is what makes you unique.
Share this if you know someone who needs a reminder or if you're looking for a passionate team member!
